After years of being lazy i finally got the will to look at my blog again.

For some time already, i had some ideas what i could write about but never really started too. One of the reasons was that writing new posts and updating the blog never was really that easy.
Until now i’ve used www-apps/jekyll as my blog software and while i think it’s a great static site generator i always had my problems with it. Additionally i wanted a new theme which supports both dark and light mode, depending on the visitors system preferences or choice. Even though there are themes for jekyll which can do this, i simply failed to update it.

Anyway, since i didn’t want to spend more time in trying, i’ve decided to give www-apps/hugo a try. Migrating and setting up my blog with hugo was surprisingly easy and i’m really happy with the new theme now.

Hope this reflects on my mood to write further post with it.
